The challenge of athletes from 25 countries is rain and snow.

On January 1, 165 athletes from 25 countries around the world came to Nepal to participate in the first marathon in the Himalayas in the new year 2012.

Athletes can register to participate in the 50km, 70km or 100km races. With two distances of 70km and 100km, athletes may have to reach an altitude of 3,000 meters above sea level, which is 2,000 meters higher than the original starting point. Rain and snow added to the challenge for the athletes participating in this year’s competition.

Since it was first held in 1995, this is the time with the largest number of participants.
