Man Utd spent most of the January transfer window dealing with the future of disgraced stars. The Old Trafford team lent 3 first team stars – Anthony Martial, Donny Van de Beek and Amad Diallo.
Meanwhile, Jesse Lingard also faced many speculations about moving to a new destination, but in the end, for various reasons, the midfielder born in 1992 was forced to stay.
Explaining the plan for the above names in a recent interview, coach Ralf Rangnick said:
“Donny, Anthony and Amad deserve to play regularly.
“Diallo played and scored in his first game – I’m pretty sure Donny and Anthony will do well at Sevilla and Everton and I hope they come back.”
As for Lingard’s case, the German strategist made it clear that the scandal from Mason Greenwood was part of the reason why he had to continue to stick with the club to ensure the depth of the squad.
“Jesse took the day off until Monday to clear her mind.
He didn’t leave because we had a problem with Mason Greenwood – and also because the club couldn’t find an agreement with another team,” Rangnick added.
