The Catalan team is making great efforts in adding new recruits to carry out its reconstruction plan.

After Sergio Aguero announced his retirement, Barcelona quickly completed the signing of Ferran Torres from Man City for 55 million euros. However, their ambitions do not stop there. According to the Spanish press, Blaugrana wants to own striker Alvaro Morata.

The Catalan team is making great efforts in adding new recruits to carry out its reconstruction plan.

Very quickly, the team that had a historic treble in 2009 made progress in this deal. Specifically, a few days ago journalist Romeo Agresti confirmed that Barca had reached an agreement with Morata on an 18-month contract.

And most recently, a reputable source in the country of bulls, AS newspaper, also said that Morata’s move from Juventus to Barcelona was 95% completed. Specifically, the Catalan giants have reached an agreement with both Italian representatives and Atletico Madrid (Morata’s parent club).

It is expected that Morata will wear Barca shirt at least until June 2022, in addition to the option to buy outright in the contract between the parties. The official announcement will also take place next week.

Coach Xavi Hernandez was the one who pushed Barca to bring Morata back to La Liga and he is very confident that the star will immediately integrate into the dressing room and the team’s play. The reason is because the 29-year-old player has a close relationship with Busquets, Alba, Ferran Torres, Gavi or Ansu Fati on the national team.

As for Juventus, they are not too worried about letting Morata go because the old lady already has a replacement plan. Arkadiusz Milik (Marseille) and Ginluca Scamacca (Sassuolo) are two names in the sights of coach Max Allegri.
